This cruise line stands out in offering innovative itineraries, and passengers are consistently pleased with the shore excursions.
One of the best features of Silversea's ships is that the fare includes tipping and all beverages. Dining is single, open seating, permitting you to dine when and with whom you please. This is truly a luxury ship.
Public rooms are decorated with exquisite taste. Soft beige and pastels walls are accented with beautiful inlaid wood and marble. Overall, this is a light-filled ship and most public rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows
The décor on these vessels is elegant, with marble and inlaid wood adorning the public areas.
From the minimum grade cabin to the very top categories, the staterooms are large, comfortable and very well equipped. Approximately 80% have private verandas with glass partitions. A wood-paneled vanity with TV/VCR and mini-fridge, walk-in closets and marble bathrooms are standard in all cabins. Bathrooms have separate shower and tub plus two sinks. The minimum-category Vista cabins (no balcony) measure 287 sq. ft. and the standard balcony staterooms, Veranda, are 345 sq. ft. The 701-sq. ft. Silver Suite, has a large living room with dining area, a good-sized bedroom and large balcony, while the 1,286-sq. ft. Grand Suite has a marble foyer (with guest bathroom), a huge living room with a bar, 51" flat-screen TV (video and CD), dining area and huge balcony. The bedroom is white, with eight-foot windows (shaded for daytime) and a view overlooking the ship's stern. Completing the opulent setting is a huge walk-in closet and marble bathroom with separate toilet and bidet.
Silver Shadow has a small but well-equipped fitness centers, a beauty salon and massage facilities. These facilities are well used so make your appointments the second you board. Fitness classes are scheduled during days at sea and there is a fast-walking/jogging track overlooking the sea.
Recommended For those wanting individualized service and a high attention to detail - in other words Luxury.
Not Recommended for people wanting children's facilities, a casual dress policy, and informal dining
