With Freestyle Cruising, NCL attracts an active, energetic crowd.
It may be hard to find quiet deck space on top of the ship, but there
are several places inside to sit peacefully and look out at the sea,
and the promenade deck offers a nice retreat.
Décor:From the soaring atrium with a Hawaiian restaurant to
the garish Karaoke Bar to the Art Deco-inspired Gatsby's, Norwegian
Star is a collection of various décor styles and themes. Nonetheless,
the ship is attractive and appealing; most public rooms are comfortable
and pleasing without being over-the-top. Colors tend to be bold.
No self-service launderettes but laundry/dry cleaning service is available
The line charges $10 per person per day automatically to shipboard
accounts for gratuities

For:
People who want a modern mega-ship that does away with restrictions
of jackets and ties, assigned tables and limited dining options by
providing a selection of 10 unique restaurants.
Not recommended for: People who
want a traditional small ship cruise experience with a formal atmosphere
where fellow passengers will dress for dinner and sit at the same
table every night; |
