oldest of the sister ship designs, but in the Holland America Line
tradition, very well maintained. She has teakwood outdoor decks and
a wrap-around promenade deck. A retractable roof covers the central
pool, whirlpools and central Lido areas, whose focal point is a huge
dolphin sculpture. Elegant interior design and decor with the use
of classic materials (woods and ceramics) provide a restrained approach
to interior styling and very little glitz. There is a good reference
library and card room. The art collection adds much color and the
use of flowers adds elegance. Staterooms are spacious with ample storage
space and a separate sitting area. |
