| First
in a new series of ships the Carnival Spirit, instead of having one
traditional central theme, celebrates an array of design styles in
her interiors. The Spirit's Artists Lobby is the main hub of the vessel.
Decorated in Art Deco style with lots of color, gigantic murals of
soaring spirits, rich wood, antique copper accents, two grand staircases.
As you stroll from one public area to another, you can bask in the
glory of Gothic, the grace of Art Deco, the exotic ambiance of the
Chinese style and so on. For those passengers who want to look there
best five self-service launderettes are provided. The ship introduces
some firsts for Carnival: an alternative restaurant and a wedding
chapel. The main restaurant is the two-deck Empire Room, done in the
early 19th century French style with the ceiling decorated with domes
painted with murals, crystal chandeliers, gold-finished trim, and
a grand circular staircase. Carnival's first alternative restaurant,
the two-level, 156-seat Nouveau Supper Club has a reservations fee
of $20 per person. Carnival's nightlife is legendary, and if you come
aboard ready to party, you will not be disappointed. The ship has
16 lounges and bars to suit every mood. The three-level Pharaoh's
Palace, decorated with hieroglyphics, 20-ft. tall stone figures, and
sarcophagi inspired by the golden one of King Tut, sets the scene
for Vegas-style revues. The Champions' sports bar offers big screen
televisions for catching the big games. The Steiner-operated spa also
features a mirrored aerobics room and a fully equipped gym. There's
a jogging track and four swimming pools, one of which is covered by
a retractable dome. For families the line's complimentary Camp Carnival
program with activities for children ages 2 to 15 is housed in the
"Fun House," a 2,400-sq. ft. enclosed play area. |
